Oatmeal with Banana, Cinnamon, and Walnuts
I cannot say enough good things about oatmeal. It’s so filling and dynamic. You can dress it up in so many different ways. My current favorite way to eat it is with banana, cinnamon, and walnuts.
It literally tastes like banana bread. This oatmeal is like a dessert without all the sugar. I find it so incredibly satisfying. And it makes me feel good to start my day with a healthy, delicious breakfast.
Oatmeal provides a balanced breakfast. It contains fiber and other important minerals, while also making you feel fuller for longer.
The banana adds sweetness. It also has several nutrients including vitamin C (immune boosting, improves cell health, and aides in the absorption of other nutrients) and vitamin B-6 (helps to grow new cells).
Walnuts are heart-healthy and an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acid. They are also rich in anti-oxidants.
Cinnamon helps aide in weight loss. Studies have also found it helps manage type 2 diabetes. It can lower bad cholesterol and raise good cholesterol. Cinnamon contains anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, antibacterial, and antiviral properties. It just has so many positive effects on the body.
When you combine all these ingredients together you get an amazing breakfast that not only tastes like a sweet treat but is so good for you! Give this a try and leave a comment below on how you liked it!
